Celtic Knot

Celtic knots are intricate, interwoven designs with deep symbolic meaning. The Celtic “Dara” knot is a modern design featuring interlaced knots representing unity, protection and love.

This commission held special meaning. Both clients came from military backgrounds and shared Celtic heritage so I wove their stories into the work. Each rope was wrapped in the colours of their service - blue, white and silver for the Navy, and taupe and cream for the Army.

This artwork became more than just a knot - it was a deeply personal expression of love, protection and shared history, captured in fibre and form.
